Thomas update
The family of Thomas and Jean/Jane (CULLEN) FARBEN/FAIRBAIRN/FREEBAIRN of Bothwell has been updated, and two of the Roberts in this tree included for disambiguation purposes given some confusion exists in some online trees as to who married whom.

Houghton le Spring
Most of the One Name Study recent changes index around today relate to the FAIRBAIRNS of Houghton le Spring.
It had been suggested that the 1879 London death of a Robert FAIRBAIRNS might be the long searched for death of Robert FAIRBAIRN, Civil Engineer, married to Elizabeth YOUNG.
This does not appear to be the case, so we are still looking for the fate of the latter beyond 1854 (along with that of sons John and James beyond about 1861).

FAIRBAIRNS, Knottingley
As the Recently Changed index shows, a page, and lineage, for shoemaker William FAIRBAIRNS of Knottingley, Yorkshire (but born elsewhere in England) has been added to the One Name Study pages.
Relationships inferred in the 1906 Manitoba census, as discussed here on the RootsWeb Fairbairn message board, are a bit confusing. So if anyone can shed any light on this we'd love to hear from you.
Over time the family appear under a wide range of variant FAIRBAIRN surnames.

Summary Patriarchs page
The Summary Patriarchs Page has had a long overdue review for broken links.
Many are as a result of the shift of lineages and researchers from the Supplementary DNA pages (on DNA Surnames, was the DNA Projects Portal) to the One Name Study lineage pages, which should now be complete.

Well no, not really, try Ulster Co., New York instead (or was it Delaware Co.?).
Watching the film Bridges of Madison County reminded me that in my own FAIRBAIRN family we had our very own covered bridge builder - so Seager FAIRBAIRN is hereby added to the notables list so a (small) picture of his handiwork could be included.
