Given we're in a holding pattern waiting for results, or more participants, I've been digging around checking what I can on the family of our latest recruit, that of John and Jessie (Johnson) FAIRBAIRN of Hallyburton, Greenlaw.
Of the two schools of thought as to John's parents:
Patrick and Margaret (Purves)
or
James and Elizabeth (Purves)
I've plumped for the latter, for the reasons briefly outlined on their respective pages.
We have to wait for the dna results to see if we've any further hints as to the overall connections between the families however.
