The One Name Study lineage pages have been refreshed.
Many of the so-called "changes" shown in the latest change indexes are probably cosmetic rather than earth shattering discoveries and many trees will have new twigs.
One update that may lead somewhere is that for John (marr. Jane WADDELL) FAIRBAIRN of Coldstream.
David shared a cemetery transcription, which tied together with a Coldstream burial record in the OPR (albeit with a conflicting year) may mean that we have a more accurate birth year for John.
We are still looking for an interested direct male line FAIRBAIRN descendent to represent this line in the DNA project with at least a Y-DNA37, but preferably Y-DNA67, to see what that will tell us.
FamilyFinder autosomal dna testing from descendants of the potentially related lines may well show up as a match to the one FamilyFinder result we have already.

Lineage renumbering - plus
As mentioned on Spot on the Modal, the lineages are undergoing a renumbering.
The reload of the One Name Study Lineages section today includes several of these but is probably incomplete, and highly likely to be still inconsistent with the Patriarchs page and the DNA Surnames supplementary pages which both still need to catch up, particularly the DNA Signature charts.
Despite this reshuffle, several missing links have been corrected.
Included in the update mentioned above:

- the tree of Thomas and Ann (LAWSON) FAIRBAIRN of Fife had at least one new twig on one of the lines in New Zealand
- Alexander, the forefather of a line of FAIRBAIRNs in South Carolina since a least 1748, has been included, no descendant chart as yet
- see recent changes index for other changes, although some are there purely for background data changes, not published here.

Summary Patriarchs page
The Summary Patriarchs Page has had a long overdue review for broken links.
Many are as a result of the shift of lineages and researchers from the Supplementary DNA pages (on DNA Surnames, was the DNA Projects Portal) to the One Name Study lineage pages, which should now be complete.

Several of those listed in the recent changes index on the One Name Study pages for today are there because typos and links have been corrected.

Tweaks finished? Two new lineages added
The One Name Study Lineage pages have been fully reloaded.
They should now include all the person information (as opposed to place) that was once on the Analysis section, and all of the Researcher, Lineage, and Wanted! information that was in the FAIRBAIRN Surname DNA project supplementary pages.
The recent changes index is therefore a little fuller than normal, with many of the entries merely being there because of the above shift having been completed.
There are some textual alterations as the rationale behind some of the linkages has been reviewed and an attempt made to make some of the conclusions a bit clearer - no doubt more to come.
New to the pages are the trees of :
Wish we could find one for the South African family of John son of James and Agnes (BRACK) FAIRBAIRN.

Keep an eye on ...
... both of the recent changes indexes (analysis section, and lineages section) in case this diary isn't updated with what changed as the tidy up/rationalisation between the DNA pages, and the One Names Study analysis and lineages sections continues apace, and must surely nearly be finished!
The family of Robert & Jane (URQUHART) FAIRBAIRN of Glasgow then Pawtucket are newly included (18th), as is the family of Thomas & Elspeth (WOOD) FAIRBAIRN, but that listed on the 17th, Robert (married Elizabeth CROSBIE) is only in the changes index because of a few typos being corrected.
For the 16th, (F-35) and his matching family, that of Francis & Agnes (DICKIESON) FAIRBAIRN shown on the 13th are brought over from the DNA project.
Bookmarks in the Analsyis Section:
If you have any real FAIRBAIRN people, as opposed to place page "people" eg FAIRBAIRN(SCT), bookmarked from the Analysis section of the One Name Study pages you will need to find them in the Lineages Section and re-bookmark them as they are transferred to where their lineages can be more easily attached and updated. (so the analysis section recent changes index is currently shrinking).
The Descendant charts section is being changed regularly at the moment as an appropriate structure is experimented with, along with how much to show on the first page to more readily identify lineages likely to be of interest.
Remember that there are DNA testing discounts going until the end of December, and it would be great to get a few more lines represented.
